Inhuman (Economy)
(© by Ko-Do 2012)

Sittin' in my lonely room
Pondering the day of doom
Hoping I have never judged my brothers
Old ways that are good as new
Leave no other things to do
Ain't no way to do like all the others

Making sense of nursery rhymes
Killing pain and killing times
What a happy pastime for the mothers
Money just to pay the rent
Man-sized jobs are heaven sent
What a heavy penance for the fathers

The whole world lies in agony
To help a weird economy
To find more ways of being more … inhuman

Writing love songs to the fools
Breaking all the golden rules
That we are bound to learn till we get older
Youth gets lost in simple dreams
An endless row of evil schemes
Is fakin' a new moon over my shoulder

Wisdom gagged in slavery
Believe forced to idolatry
From 9 to 5 and, yes, 24 / 7
Children raised in angst an fear
The sword of Damocles so near
A stream of prayers finds ist way to heaven

The whole world lies in agony
To help a weird economy
To find more ways of being more … inhuman

Sittin' in my lonely room
Pondering the day of doom
And for the truth I try to be a witness
Pied pipers and the followers
Climb hurdles built to fall over
Into a drowning sea of unforgiveness

Hiding behind artful masks
Their minds filled with their only task
To top each other's lies of ever-growing
Souls stripped bare to what they are
A well-run-dry, a broken jar
And cast into the void of never-knowing

The whole world lifts from agony
To stop a weird economy
And find more ways of being again … human
