Low Songs In A High Voice
(© by Ko-Do 2011)

It was just another Friday – I was lazing out at night
Strolling through the city for some fun
I thought this could be my day, when a poster caught my eye
The girl on it was pretty and it simply read "Come On"
So I came on into that little bar - the entrance there was free
I ordered my first beer and an ash-tray
She was tuning her guitar and when she smiled at me
I thought of what that little girl might play

Chorus
And she sang low songs in a high voice
She was a damn good guitar slinger
She played so strong - my heart was
In a moment on its way
I fell in love with the low songs
The high voice and the singer
Those low songs in a high voice
Simply took my heart away

Happened a long time ago and now she is my wife
Still steppin' out, once in a while
We made it through a lot of fun, some troubles, a few strifes
and the memory of this evening still can make us smile

Instrumental chorus

When I was thinking  'bout a song for our anniversary
At first I didn't know what I should write
The rhymes were rough, the key was wrong - but then suddenly
I heared a voice and I knew that this was right

Chorus
