Sun over the Racing Ground
(© by Ko-Do 2009)

Daybreak at the day of the races
Most of the people really don't know what pace is
In the air there is a gentle breeze
From somewhere that sets your mind at ease
And the sun comes up
And the race is on

Excitement at the day of the races
Joy and laughter you can see in their faces
From somewhere you can hear a yearning sound
And it echoes all over the racing ground
And when the sun goes down
Still the race is on

It's a race that we all are in
It's a race that we never can win
It's a race that we never can lose
It's the race against the blues

Lonely winds at the day of the races
Lonely dreams of everyone's goin' places
And somehow we all wear the laurel wreath
Anyhow, life is a race to death
Sunrise, sunset
And the race is on

It's a race that we all are in
It's a race that we never can win
It's a race that we never can lose
It's the race against the blues
Sunrise, sunset
And the race is on
