I was feeling down and out
And push came to shove
My life was full of doubt
No heaven above

My body was aching
And so was my soul
I felt life was taking
It's final toll

I just had no clue
Didn't know what to do
When suddenly out of the blue
I felt the strength to carry on

There must have been someone praying for me
There was so much power and energy
Like struck by lightning
But it wasn't any frightening
I just felt the strength to carry on
